Be aware of brokers luring you in with low prices, but then you get stuck with a higher bill at the end.  They also sub out the work to anyone they can. So if you are moving across the country 8 different truck drivers may drive your belongings, and that truck may be unloaded and loaded 10 different times, increasing the chances of damaged or missing items. When it comes to unloading at the final destination they demand thousands of dollars more in cash, and won't unload until they are paid, keeping your belongings hostage.

    Great introductory price but the fees hit you like a brick to the head. 30% fuel surcharges, $20 for each roll of tape, Movers who disappear for hours in transit and you get the opportunity to pay for the disappearance. Always ask about fees, never be concerned to confront shady business practices. This is your money at the end of the day, if you don't watch out for it, who will?

We have seen some companies put it in the back of a broke down box  truck, or in a storage unit that's not climate controlled. Always ask where your items will be stored, or ask to see the facility.

General Liability, Cargo, workman's comp, and commercial auto insurance. feel free to ask to see the insurance. If they don't want to produce the insurance, you should steer away from said company immediately. God forbid something goes wrong and your on the hook for thousands of dollar.

Where do you check? www.sunbiz.org Look up the company name. If it's not there DO NOT USE THE COMPANY! If they can't spend the money to register with the state, i promise they do not have anything else in this section.
